2020 has had many challenges; and challenges are sometimes opportunities to learn old things for the first time. In another article in this newsletter, you can read about how my daughter has been learning about making jam and other types of canning; and how Hope4Healing is looking to use the principle of preservation to help us do fundraising in a new way.
We could use your help! We are looking for donations of canning jars, lids, and rings for our Preserving Families: Changing Lives campaign. We want to use these jars as a physical reminder of how food preservation has helped families for centuries, and how from little things like seeds stores of food kept families safe through winter and famine. 2020 has produced such a winter or famine in many respects. We continue to need your help in helping others; and your gift of canning jars will help others understand how a little change can make a lot of difference, or if you prefer your monetary donation will allow us to continue to connect resources to the need.
If you would like to join us in preserving families and changing outcomes by donating canning jars or by making a monetary donation, please contact us at (855)584-HOPE (4673) or email us at Info@hope4healingquakerdale.net, or click the donation link below.
